Being one of the greatest African strikers of all time, former Arsenal, Manchester City, Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspurs player Emmanuel Adebayor has been in Kenya on an ambassadorial work with gaming firm 22Bet.Having watched Tusker FC 2-2 draw match with FC Talanta, the former African Player Of The Year has praised Tusker FC midfielder Humphrey Mieno by saying that his style of play reminds him of his Manchester City teammate Yaya Toure.
“He is a very, very good player (Mieno).He reminds me of my time in Manchester City of a player like Yaya Toure.He knows when to play one touch, when to dribble and when to dive into the opponent.He is such a great player to watch,” Adebayor said after the match.
Born in Nairobi, Kenya, Humphrey Mieno is currently 33 years old.He began his senior career in 2008 with Mahakama.He went on to play for other top Kenya Premier League clubs such as Sofapaka, AFC Leopards, Gor Mahia and currently Tusker.He had a short stint abroad where he turned out for Club African, Azam and Saint George in the Tunisian, Tanzanian and Ethiopian leagues respectively.
