In a significant boost to the painting community, Kansai Plascon Kenya has awarded 15 painters KSh 50,000 each to support their children’s education under the 2025 Shinda School Fees Support Programme.
The initiative, a targeted corporate social responsibility (CSR) project run in partnership with Muthokinju Paints and Cement, aims to uplift the families of painters by easing the financial burden of school fees. The programme saw strong nationwide participation, highlighting a critical need within the trade.
The disbursements, totalling KSh 750,000, are currently being delivered to winners across various regions. This move underscores the company’s commitment to supporting painters beyond their professional roles and investing in their families’ wellbeing.
Speaking on the programme, Kota Enami, Managing Director of Kansai Plascon Kenya, emphasised the company’s holistic view of its trade partners.
“Painters are not only skilled professionals — they are parents, guardians, and breadwinners. Through the Shinda School Fees Support Programme, we are supporting education within the painting community and standing with families where it matters most,” said Enami.
The initiative forms a key part of Kansai Plascon Kenya’s broader CSR strategy, which focuses on community impact, education, and fostering long-term partnerships with the trade.
“Supporting education is an investment in the future — not just for families, but for the industry as a whole,” added Enami.
“We are proud of the response this programme has received and the impact it continues to make across the country.”
