Buildexpo Eyes East Africa’s Infrastructure Growth

NAIROBI, Kenya, July 6 – More than 300 exhibitors from over 45 countries will gather in Nairobi this week to showcase new construction technologies, equipment and business partnerships aimed at supporting infrastructure development across East Africa as demand for modern building solutions continues to rise.

The 27th Buildexpo Kenya, scheduled for July 8-10 at the Carnivore Exhibition Grounds, comes as Kenya and other East African countries continue investing in affordable housing, transport infrastructure, commercial real estate and industrial development.

This the organizers say is creating opportunities for suppliers of construction equipment, building materials and engineering solutions.

The exhibition is expected to bring together manufacturers, contractors, architects, engineers, developers, investors and distributors seeking new commercial partnerships and market opportunities in one of Africa’s fastest-growing construction markets.

Participating companies will showcase products ranging from heavy machinery and building materials to engineering technologies designed to improve productivity and support infrastructure delivery across the region.

“The exhibition will host 300+ exhibitors from over 45 countries, including India, China, Germany, Turkey, Italy, the United Arab Emirates, Taiwan (ROC), South Africa, Egypt, and Kenya, among others.”

“The 2026 edition will feature leading industry players such as Iran Innovation Fund, Onew Investment Company Ltd., Zhong Ze Nice Wood, Carldora – Cofragens, Andaimes e Escoramentos, S.A., PL International Holdings Limited, Buffalo TBS Enterprises Co. Limited, and Ajax Engineering Pvt. Ltd. These companies will showcase the latest technologies, equipment, and solutions designed to drive innovation and accelerate infrastructure development across East Africa.”

Buildexpo is being held under the patronage of the State Department for Housing and Urban Development and the State Department for Trade.

Alongside the main exhibition, organisers have scheduled four concurrent events focusing on woodworking, lighting, mining and water technologies, broadening opportunities for businesses operating across the construction value chain.

The complementary exhibitions are expected to facilitate networking, technology transfer and cross-sector collaboration among local and international firms.

Industry exhibitions have increasingly become important platforms for businesses seeking regional expansion, supplier networks and investment opportunities as East Africa accelerates infrastructure spending.

For Kenyan firms, the expo offers an opportunity to connect with global manufacturers, explore emerging technologies and position themselves to participate in major public and private sector construction projects across the region.
