Three officials were elected unoppressed during the Kenya Communications Sports Organization (KECOSO) Annual General meeting held on Tuesday at the Nyayo national Stadium.
The officials who were elected unopposed for a four year term were the Ben Juma who will serve as the chair of KECOSO organising committee,alongside Kenya Broadcasting Corporation’s Radio Controller Asiko Omole as the Secretary General and Philip Kiplagat who will serve as the committees’ Treasurer.
Sports Registrar MS.Rose Wasike presided over the AGM which was also attended by representatives from the Department of Sports and the Kenya National Sports Council and Kenya Volleyball Federation Vice President Paul Bitok who represented sports federations.
The AGM provided a platform for KECOSO members to deliberate on important matters pertaining to the organization’s governance and operations. It also served as an opportunity to elect new officials who will steer the organization forward in the coming years.
Over 3,000 participants are expected to converge in Nakuru City in August this year for the 43rd KECOSO Games which involves Golf, Football, Swimming, Basketball, Volleyball, Netball, Darts, Pool, Snooker, Table Tennis and Scrabble among other disciplines.
