{"id":101999,"date":"2024-11-12T08:03:59","date_gmt":"2024-11-12T08:03:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chezaspin.com\/blog\/index.php\/2024\/11\/12\/kisumu-public-service-board-chairman-charles-babu-is-dead\/"},"modified":"2024-11-12T08:03:59","modified_gmt":"2024-11-12T08:03:59","slug":"kisumu-public-service-board-chairman-charles-babu-is-dead","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chezaspin.com\/blog\/kisumu-public-service-board-chairman-charles-babu-is-dead\/","title":{"rendered":"Kisumu Public Service Board chairman Charles Babu is dead"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>KISUMU, Kenya, Nov 12 \u2013 The Chairman of Kisumu County Public Service Board (PSB) Charles Babu Karan has passed away.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Announcing his death, Kisumu County Governor Prof Anyang Nyong\u2019o says the late chairman passed away on Monday night while receiving treatment at the Aga Khan hospital in Mombasa.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe was rushed to the hospital after failing ill while attending a conference last week in Mombasa,\u201d said Nyong\u2019o .<\/p>\n<p>He described the late Karan as a career teacher and a distinguished administrator.<\/p>\n<p>He says the county is in mourning following the demise of a man, whom he says worked tirelessly to provide the executive with the required human resource needs.<\/p>\n<p>Karan headed a number of primary schools in Kisumu before his retirement and subsequent hiring to head the PSB in the first term of Governor Nyong\u2019o.<\/p>\n<p>Nyong\u2019o says he will be remembered for nurturing a number of students in the schools where he taught.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMr Karan was also a respected community opinion leader across the county,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>He condoled with his family and the larger Kano clan, where he was born for the big loss.<\/p>\n<p>Nyong\u2019o further announced that burial arrangements will be communicated later.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KISUMU, Kenya, Nov 12 \u2013 The Chairman of Kisumu County Public Service Board (PSB) Charles Babu Karan has passed away.
