Kenyan-born Hollywood actor Edi Gathegi has added another feather to his cap with his portrayal of the superhero Mr Terrific in the trailer for \u2018Superman: Legacy.\u2019 The James Gunn-directed reboot of the iconic Superman franchise.<\/p>\n
Gathegi, known for his versatile performances in films such as \u2018X-Men: First Class\u2019, Twilight, and the TV series \u2018The Blacklist,\u2019 and \u2018StartUp\u2019 is set to bring his unique charm and depth to the role of Mr. Terrific, also known as Michael Holt.<\/p>\n
The character Mr Holt, is a genius inventor, Olympic-level athlete, and master tactician. He is one of DC Comics\u2019 most compelling and multidimensional heroes according to James Gunn.<\/p>\n
In an earlier interview, James Gunn revealed that of all of the supporting roles in Superman, Gathegi\u2019s Mr. Terrific is the \u201cmain character of those characters,\u201d playing a major part in the movie\u2019s story.<\/p>\n
\u201cI love Mr. Terrific,\u201d Gunn explained. \u201cThese characters all get their moment in the sun. They all have their moments. They\u2019re not just cameos, these are the characters. They\u2019re supporting cast, but Mr. Terrific is the main character of those characters. He actually has a big part of the plot.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u2018Superman: Legacy\u2019 is slated for release in July 2025 and marks a pivotal chapter in the DC Universe.<\/p>\n
Edi Gathegi\u2019s Mr. Terrific joins forces with David Corenswet\u2019s Superman and Rachel Brosnahan\u2019s Lois Lane.<\/p>\n\n
