Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) in Kilimani have apprehended Meshack Kipleting Tarbei, a serial fraudster and Director of Motorshop E.A Ltd, after he evaded capture for over a year.<\/p>\n
Tarbei, whose office was located at Marsabit Plaza along Ngong Road, allegedly defrauded unsuspecting members of the public before abruptly closing shop and disappearing.<\/p>\n
At least nine victims had reported his fraudulent activities at the Kilimani Police Station.<\/p>\n
Acting on the complaints, detectives launched a manhunt that culminated in Tarbei\u2019s arrest at King Serenity Estate in Rongai.<\/p>\n
He was escorted to the DCI Kilimani offices for processing ahead of his arraignment.<\/p>\n
Investigators suspect that more victims may have reported similar cases against Tarbei at various police stations in Nairobi.<\/p>\n
Efforts are underway to consolidate all reports to ensure justice for those affected.<\/p>\n
