{"id":107580,"date":"2025-01-13T16:03:15","date_gmt":"2025-01-13T16:03:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chezaspin.com\/blog\/index.php\/2025\/01\/13\/wamatinga-leads-mps-in-telling-off-bitter-muturi-over-abductions-outbursts\/"},"modified":"2025-01-13T16:03:15","modified_gmt":"2025-01-13T16:03:15","slug":"wamatinga-leads-mps-in-telling-off-bitter-muturi-over-abductions-outbursts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chezaspin.com\/blog\/wamatinga-leads-mps-in-telling-off-bitter-muturi-over-abductions-outbursts\/","title":{"rendered":"Wamatinga leads MPs in telling off \u2018bitter\u2019 Muturi over abductions \u2018outbursts\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>NYERI, Kenya, Jan 13 \u2014 A section of lawmakers led by Nyeri Senator Wahome Wamatinga have told off Public Service Cabinet Secretary Justin Muturi over his remarks on abductions, claiming that his \u201coutbursts\u201d indicate he is on his way out of the government.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Speaking during the launch of the Lower Magutu Water Project in Mathira, Wamatinga alleged that Muturi is resentful about President William Ruto\u2019s move to include other leaders who served with him during former President Uhuru Kenyatta\u2019s regime. <\/p>\n<p>He suggested \u201cbitterness\u201d is the reason behind Muturi\u2019s comments on abductions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe know Muturi is bitter about the inclusion of the likes of former Health Minister Mutahi Kagwe, William Kabogo, and Lee Kinyanjui,\u201d the lawmaker claimed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKenyans should know that Muturi and former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua had a pact to lock certain leaders out of government,\u201d said Wamatinga.<\/p>\n<p>He further claimed that Muturi wants President Ruto to dismiss him so he can align with Gachagua and revive his Democratic Party, which he alleged intends to field candidates in the 2027 General Election.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMuturi should resign if he wants to. We, as leaders from this region, will remain in Ruto\u2019s broad-based government for the sake of development,\u201d Wamatinga added.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u2018Inappropriate\u2019<\/h2>\n<p>Mungotio MP Reuben Kiborek criticized Muturi, stating it was inappropriate for a Cabinet Secretary to make such remarks publicly when he has a platform within the Cabinet to address these issues.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s unfortunate for a CS to make such remarks in public when he has the opportunity to address the same within the Cabinet,\u201d said Kiborek.<\/p>\n<p>Mathira\u2019s Eric Wamumbi joined the due in condemning the former Attomery General terming Muturi\u2019s remarks as unfortunate but acknowledged his right to express himself in a personal capacity.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs the people of Mathira, we are not concerned about Muturi\u2019s remarks.
