CIB Kenya has appointed Abhinav Nehra as its new Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director.<\/p>\n
Nehra, a seasoned banking and payments expert with over 30 years of experience across Africa, Asia, and emerging markets is expected to drive the bank\u2019s continued growth and enhance its commitment to financial inclusion and innovation.<\/p>\n
Nehra has held leadership roles at various global institutions, including CitiGroup, United Bank for Africa (UBA), Network International, and Ecobank Transnational.<\/p>\n
At Ecobank, he managed and restructured the group\u2019s retail and commercial banking portfolio, overseeing operations in 34 African countries. He also expanded UBA\u2019s retail financial services, growing its footprint from two to 16 markets.<\/p>\n
Additionally, he led the largest \u201cPayment as a Service\u201d company in Africa at Network International and built CitiFinancial India into the group\u2019s most profitable consumer finance franchise across emerging markets.<\/p>\n
Tom Gitogo, Chairman of CIB Kenya\u2019s Board, praised Nehra\u2019s track record, noting that his leadership will be key to driving the bank\u2019s future success.<\/p>\n
