{"id":110549,"date":"2025-02-17T13:03:44","date_gmt":"2025-02-17T13:03:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chezaspin.com\/blog\/index.php\/2025\/02\/17\/bomet-man-sentenced-to-150-years-for-killing-his-3-children\/"},"modified":"2025-02-17T13:03:44","modified_gmt":"2025-02-17T13:03:44","slug":"bomet-man-sentenced-to-150-years-for-killing-his-3-children","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chezaspin.com\/blog\/bomet-man-sentenced-to-150-years-for-killing-his-3-children\/","title":{"rendered":"Bomet Man Sentenced to 150 Years for Killing His 3 Children"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>NAIROBI, Kenya Feb 17 \u2013 A Bomet court has sentenced a 40-year-old man to 150 years in prison after finding him guilty of murdering his three children in 2019 in the Lelaitich area.<\/p>\n<p>Benard Kipkemoi Kirui was convicted of killing his sons\u2014Amos Kipngetich, 12, Vincent Kiprotich, 8, and Emanuel Kipronoh, 5\u2014while their mother was away. <\/p>\n<p>The ruling was delivered on Monday by Bomet High Court Judge Julius Kipkosgei Ng\u2019arng\u2019ar, who handed Kirui three consecutive 50-year sentences.<\/p>\n<p>Terming the crime \u201cinhuman and shocking,\u201d Justice Ng\u2019arng\u2019ar said the sentence was meant to serve as a deterrent to similar offenses.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis court cannot overlook such a grievous act.
