Ndinda also manages Njugush

I make my living by creating content. It’s a job like any other, it’s what I do every day. Whether I have a gig or not, I have to create content daily. It’s become a lifestyle.

I haven’t made millions from YouTube yet, but yes, people are making a lot of money from the platform. It takes time to get there. Also, if you go in with the mindset of making money from YouTube, chances are you’re going to stutter, and you’re going to get tired because it doesn’t come that fast. You have to be consistent, you have to be passionate about it, you have to build a brand and eventually, the money will come. The millions come over time.

One of my biggest money mistakes was not knowing how much to charge for what I was doing when I started. I would charge less. I also never understood how to read contracts and there are certain terms that if you don’t understand can cost you. Someone had to teach me how to read and understand contracts.

Another money mistake I made was committing to a business gig without having a contract. Also, make sure you have a business conversation or engagement with them via email.

The reason I love content creation is because I tried a 9-5 job and I just couldn’t keep up. I was working in a consulting firm and it was overwhelming.

It’s hectic being my husband’s manager because there’s a fine line between being a wife and being a manager, so it requires a lot of discipline from us. But I love it that way because we have everything in one.

I honestly don’t know what I saw in Timo (Njugush) when we started dating in college. But one thing I do know is that he was always fun to be around. He always had a great vibe until we started dating. Timo never asked me to be his girlfriend.

Tim isn’t that romantic. He is not creative when it comes to being romantic, he’s a typical Kikuyu man, you know. But I see he is improving nowadays, the other day he brought me flowers and I was like ‘whose are they? Because I wasn’t expecting it. It was so sweet of him.

Timo never proposed to me. That he proposed to me in London was just a joke, it wasn’t serious. We were at this spot and Someone said that this is always the favorite place for guys to propose and Timo immediately said ‘Anyone with a ring, I have to propose’. He took someone’s ring, and ‘proposed’ to me and guys on the internet took it seriously.

As for our marriage, I don’t think we had any plans. His father vouched for him. He asked him, ‘I’ve been seeing this woman a lot with you, what’s the plan? He’s the kind of man who doesn’t like to see a man with a woman without clear intentions about the relationship. Being a pastor, he wanted to make it official rather than come we stayed because that’s what it was and that’s how we got married. My mother was so shocked that she didn’t see it coming.

Celestine Ndinda aka Wakavinye is a content creator and influencer who is married to online comedian Timothy Kimani aka Njugush.
