{"id":112233,"date":"2025-03-20T14:04:33","date_gmt":"2025-03-20T14:04:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chezaspin.com\/blog\/index.php\/2025\/03\/20\/kisiangani-dropped-as-ict-ps-in-new-govt-changes\/"},"modified":"2025-03-20T14:04:33","modified_gmt":"2025-03-20T14:04:33","slug":"kisiangani-dropped-as-ict-ps-in-new-govt-changes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chezaspin.com\/blog\/kisiangani-dropped-as-ict-ps-in-new-govt-changes\/","title":{"rendered":"Kisiangani dropped as ICT PS in new govt changes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>NAIROBI, Kenya, Mar 20 \u2013 Edward Kisiangani has been dropped as the Information Communication and Technology Principal Secretary in new government changes.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In changes announced by Head of Public Service Felix Koskei, President William Ruto named him as a senior advisor at the President\u2019s Economic Council.<\/p>\n<p>Kisiangani has been replaced by Stephen Isaboke who now takes over the ICT docket.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese changes are driven by the need to harness the opportunities with emerging sectors of the economy as well as to address challenges affecting Kenya\u2019s social fabric,\u201d the statement indicated.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCollectively, the changes seek to further accelerate the implementation of the Administration\u2019s seminal socio-economic blueprint, the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA).\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The head of state also nominated Susan Nakhumicha as Permanent Representative to the UN Habitat even as he designated Peter Tum as Kenya\u2019s Ambassador to Kinshasa.<\/p>\n<p>PS Julius Bitok has been moved to the Department of Education as Belio Kipsang takes over the Immigration docket.<\/p>\n<p>Ouma Oluga has been nominated as the Medical Services PS while Harry Kimtai has been designated to the Mining Ministry.<\/p>\n<p>State House has signaled that further changes may be on the horizon as President Ruto continues to fine-tune his administration ahead of major international engagements and domestic policy rollouts.<\/p>\n<p>The new appointees will be vetted by Parliament before taking up their positions, as stipulated under Kenya\u2019s constitution.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NAIROBI, Kenya, Mar 20 \u2013 Edward Kisiangani has been dropped as the Information Communication and Technology Principal Secretary in new government changes.
