A child custody case involving influencer\u00a0 Ramadhan ‘Ramzy’ Olouch and his baby mama, Faith ‘Shiko Wanjiku, was adjourned again after she failed to appear in court to testify for the third time.
\nThe two one-time vloggers rose to prominence with their once popular YouTube channel ‘The Green Calabash’ that was shy of 100,000 subscribers and had amassed over 14 million views when they decided to delete it following their unceremonious split in 2022. They gained popularity after live-streaming the birth of one of their children on YouTube, which attracted millions of views. <\/span>They are also known for their work as influencers, often using their children in brand campaigns.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>
\nFollowing the split, Wanjiku, who is now married to radio presenter Mike Mondo, filed a case in 2023 seeking full custody of their two children.
\nThe matter is ongoing, and recently, Ramzy presented new evidence (a video) to the court of a visibly drunk Wanjiku and her husband, media personality Mike Mondo, picking up the children from him. Ramzy now wants the court to rely on the video and find Wanjiku guilty of being irresponsible.
\nThe X bigwig argues that her ex-partner and husband endangered his children by picking them up while visibly drunk, but also embarrassed their children. The court had ordered the two bitter exes to alternate weekend custody of the children.
\nWhen Shiko filed the case in 2023, she accused her ex-lover of being an irresponsible father, claiming he had neglected his fatherly duties to their two sons.
\nShe alleged that Ramzy had stopped paying their children’s school fees at a private school in Nairobi, with arrears amounting to Sh303,500, even though he was earning a salary of Sh150,000 a month and had other side jobs that at one point earned him Sh791,125.
\nAs such, she claimed that Ramadhan had left her alone to fully shoulder the needs of their two sons.
\nIn his defense, however, Ramadhan stated that he had received a pay cut and could not afford to pay the fees for the minors at their current school.
\nHowever, he produced an M-Pesa transaction receipt of Sh50,000\/=, which he claimed to have made to settle the outstanding fees to the said school, but also requested that the children be transferred to a cheaper school that he could afford. But her ex opposed the proposal.
\nGiven the stalemate and to ensure continued parental responsibility, the Principal Magistrate Court ordered Ramadhan to pay school fees at the equivalent rate of the school he had proposed at the school they currently attend, with Wanjiku to pay the difference pending further orders of the court and subsequently a judgment over the custody matter.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
