{"id":122569,"date":"2025-10-05T16:06:30","date_gmt":"2025-10-05T16:06:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chezaspin.com\/blog\/index.php\/2025\/10\/05\/he-failed-to-advise-himself-sudi-tears-into-gachagua-over-mentorship-claim\/"},"modified":"2025-10-05T16:06:30","modified_gmt":"2025-10-05T16:06:30","slug":"he-failed-to-advise-himself-sudi-tears-into-gachagua-over-mentorship-claim","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chezaspin.com\/blog\/he-failed-to-advise-himself-sudi-tears-into-gachagua-over-mentorship-claim\/","title":{"rendered":"\u2018He failed to advise himself\u2019: Sudi tears into Gachagua over mentorship claim"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>NAIROBI, Kenya, Oct 5 \u2014 Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi has hit out at former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, questioning his credibility to mentor other leaders after what he termed a series of personal political missteps.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Sudi, a close ally of President William Ruto, dismissed Gachagua\u2019s remarks on Saturday that he was mentoring Nyali MP Mohamed Ali, popularly known as Jicho Pevu, saying the former Deputy President lacked the moral authority to offer guidance.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI wonder how Wamunyoro, who failed to advise himself, can now purport to mentor Jicho Pevu, alias Jicho Pesa,\u201d Sudi said.<\/p>\n<p>The outspoken lawmaker further accused Ali \u2014 once regarded as a staunch Ruto supporter \u2014 of attempting to blackmail the government into giving him \u201cfree money.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe problem with Jicho Pesa is that he thought when we formed this government, he\u2019d get a place to collect free money, unaware that the government operates through proper procedures,\u201d Sudi added.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cInstead of working hard and engaging in business, he was expecting handouts. Even if another government is formed, there\u2019s no place where money is given out freely.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u2018Mentor\u2019<\/h2>\n<p>Sudi\u2019s remarks came shortly after Gachagua, who now leads the Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP), shared photos and a message on social media expressing delight at reuniting with Ali, whom he described as a \u201cyoung, talented leader\u201d under his mentorship.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.capitalfm.co.ke\/news\/files\/2025\/10\/image-10.png\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In his post, Gachagua praised the Nyali MP for overcoming a serious knee injury that had kept him away from active politics for nearly a year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was great spending my Saturday with Moha, catching up on our days in the 12th Parliament. Moha is one of the young, talented leaders I am mentoring. He has a great future as a leader for the Coast Region and Kenya,\u201d Gachagua wrote.<\/p>\n<p>He further commended Ali\u2019s vision for the Coast, saying he had \u201cgreat ideas on how to mobilize the region to liberate the country from politics of conmanship and economic mismanagement.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The former deputy president added that the Coast region had suffered long-standing injustices, particularly in land ownership, education, and healthcare \u2014 issues he said would be addressed through political change.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis pain and anguish will come to an end at the ballot in August 2027,\u201d Gachagua declared.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NAIROBI, Kenya, Oct 5 \u2014 Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi has hit out at former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, questioning his credibility to mentor other leaders after what he termed a series of personal political missteps.
