Then during the caesarean section, the doctors found a fourth,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI had prepared for three, so it was quite a surprise. The journey was tough \u2014 I had difficulty walking and breathing \u2014 but to God be the glory. I now have six children.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u2018Miracle amid mourning\u2019<\/h2>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.capitalfm.co.ke\/news\/files\/2025\/11\/image-13.png\"><\/a><\/div>\n<p>Her sister, Eveline, described the delivery as a \u201cmiracle amid mourning,\u201d coming just weeks after the death of Raila Odinga.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe were mourning Raila, our hero, when my sister went into surgery. Then came not one, not two, but three boys \u2014 Raila, Amolo, and Odinga \u2014 and the tiniest surprise, a baby girl we named Ida,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s such a great blessing, and we thank God.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Eveline appealed for support from well-wishers, saying her sister lives in a rental house and now faces the daunting task of raising six children.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe haven\u2019t organized ourselves yet. We\u2019ll appreciate any help \u2014 spiritual, physical, or financial,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Marialita Solis, a gynecologist at Nyanchwa Adventist Mission Hospital, confirmed it was the hospital\u2019s first-ever quadruplet delivery.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve delivered triplets before, but this is our first time delivering quadruplets,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe mother struggled with the weight of the pregnancy, so at 32 weeks, we performed a caesarean section.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The babies weighed 1.3kg, 1.6kg, 1.7kg, and 1.6kg at birth and are being monitored in the hospital nursery, where their weights have since improved.<\/p>\n<p>Hospital CEO Dancan Musioma commended the medical team and called on Kenyans to support the family.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRaising even one child is a challenge \u2014 now she has four.
