Kenya is number one,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Within just two hours, the stream pulled over 180,000 concurrent viewers, pushing his channel from 47.72 million to 47.91 million subscribers\u2014a gain of nearly 200,000 in one broadcast. Clips from the encounter spread rapidly across social media.<\/p>\n<p>Next came culture and cuisine: cooking ugali, shopping for a custom Kenyan jersey at Kenyatta Market, and sampling nyama choma, kachumbari and mukimo\u2014before a visit to Carnivore Restaurant.<\/p>\n<p>At Nairobi National Park, Speed fed giraffes and visited the Animal Orphanage\u2014one of the stream\u2019s most-watched moments\u2014then took viewers inside a decked-out \u201cnganya\u201d matatu for a rolling tour of Nairobi\u2019s street culture.<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Fan frenzy, police escort<\/h4>\n<p>Wherever he went, crowds followed. Dozens\u2014and sometimes hundreds\u2014trailed his convoy, chanting his name and filming the moment.
