Harambee Starlets, landed tough opponents in Group A alongside hosts Morocco, Senegal and Algeria in the group stage of the 2026 Women\u2019s African Cup of nations (WAFCON), which will used as a qualifier for next yera\u2019s FIFA World Cup.<\/p>\n
The draw conducted on Thursday in Rabat will see Kenya, led by coach Beldine Oemba, open their campaign on March 17th against Morocco before taking on Senegal and Algeria.<\/p>\n
South Africa will have to navigate through C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire, Burkina Faso and Tanzania in Group B.<\/p>\n
Defending champions Nigeria are in group C alongside Zambia, Egypt and Malawi, while Ghana, Mali, Cape Verde and Cameroon make up group D.<\/p>\n
Group A will play their matches at the Moulay Hassan stadium, while Group B will be stationed at the Al Madina stadium.<\/p>\n
Group C fixtures will be staged in Casablanca, as Group D will play at the Fes Sports Complex.<\/p>\n
The final will be played on 3rd April, with the top 4 nations qualifying for the 2027 FIFA World Cup.<\/p>\n
Kenya is making a return to the tournament for the first time since 2016.<\/p>\n
