Mudavadi, who hosted Israel\u2019s Ambassador to Kenya, Gideon Behar, for a courtesy call at his office, said the two countries are keen to expand collaboration in priority sectors that underpin Kenya\u2019s development agenda.<\/p>\n
The meeting between the two leaders also focused on scaling up cooperation in agriculture, food security, defence, renewable energy and health diplomacy.<\/p>\n
Mudavadi highlighted Kenya\u2019s geothermal energy potential and invited increased Israeli investment in the sector as part of efforts to strengthen energy security and support the country\u2019s climate goals.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe two leaders emphasised the importance of partnership in addressing the climate crisis, with a particular focus on harnessing Kenya\u2019s vast geothermal energy potential,\u201d a statement by the State Department for Foreign Affairs indicated.<\/p>\n
The discussions also touched on enhanced engagement at multilateral forums, including the United Nations, with Kenya reiterating its commitment to peace and stability in the Middle East.<\/p>\n
