World football is experiencing a quiet revolution under the era of Gianni Infantino, President of FIFA, said Mr. Fouzi Lekjaa, President of the F\u00e9d\u00e9ration Royale Marocaine de Football (FRMF).<\/p>\n
\u201cIn general, we are witnessing a quiet revolution in world football, a transformation of FIFA,\u201d Mr. Lekjaa stated in a video message shared on the Moroccan national team\u2019s social media platforms, marking the tenth anniversary of Mr. Infantino\u2019s presidency of the international football governing body.<\/p>\n
\u201cSpeaking about the record of Mr. Gianni Infantino (elected on February 26, 2016), it is clear that what he has achieved is tremendous\u00a0 it represents a comprehensive transformation of FIFA,\u201d he stressed.<\/p>\n
He cited \u201cthe complete overhaul of FIFA\u2019s governance, particularly in terms of financial transparency and restructuring, which multiplied FIFA\u2019s revenues and resources, subsequently allowing development efforts across all continents to double and even triple.\u201d<\/p>\n
In the same context, he referred to \u201cthe review and reform of competitions, starting with the men\u2019s World Cup by increasing the number of participating teams, and extending to all competitions across all age categories, in both men\u2019s and women\u2019s football.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cOverall, Mr. Gianni Infantino has achieved qualitative leaps within FIFA in line with a vision of globalizing football.<\/p>\n
This enabled the African continent and the Royal Moroccan Football Federation to have the honor, alongside Spain and Portugal, of co-hosting the 2030 World Cup\u00a0 for the second time on African soil\u00a0 under a model bringing together three countries and two continents celebrating the centenary of the tournament,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
Moreover, he noted that \u201che enabled the FRMF to host FIFA\u2019s African headquarters here in Rabat, which is highly significant,\u201d adding that this initiative \u201cprovides opportunities for development, training, and capacity building.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cLike all African and global federations, we have benefited from these development-dedicated resources, which have accelerated football development programs, whether in terms of infrastructure or technical supervision,\u201d the FRMF President concluded.<\/p>\n
