But for me, give me my scale of work I will stand by it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The President brushed off what he termed as empty threats from opponents, saying no amount of political pressure will push him out of office.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDo you really think there is anyone who can threaten me?\u201d he posed. \u201cSomeone walking around spreading propaganda, shouting my name I will deal with them head-on.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>President Ruto underscored that he remains unshaken despite rising political criticism, adding that leaders should focus on delivering results instead of engaging in divisive rhetoric.<\/p>\n<p>He added that he owes his loyalty to the Kenyan people who elected him and cannot walk away from that responsibility.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDo you think I can leave the people who made me President? Do you think I am crazy? That is impossible,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>He emphasized that his administration will stay the course and confront political opponents directly.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am here, and we will meet them right here,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>President Ruto also cited his long-standing relationship with the people of Nyeri, saying his connection with the region goes back many years.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have a relationship with the people of Nyeri, and it didn\u2019t start yesterday,\u201d he said. \u201cThere is no leader in Kenya who has travelled across Nyeri more than I have.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He took a swipe at rivals, accusing them of lacking grassroots understanding.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey don\u2019t know where the churches are, they don\u2019t know where the roads are, they don\u2019t know the people\u2019s work,\u201d Ruto said. \u201cThey don\u2019t know.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The President\u2019s remarks come amid heightened political tensions, with opposition leaders intensifying criticism of his administration.<\/p>\n<p>However, President Ruto made it clear that he is ready for a political showdown, urging his supporters to stand firm.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLet everyone come and say their piece,\u201d he said. \u201cBut we will deal with them here.\u201d<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NAIROBI, Kenya Apr 2 \u2013 President William Ruto has hit back at his critics, declaring that he will not be intimidated by political noise and propaganda, and insisting that his leadership will be judged solely on performance.
