KISUMU, Kenya Apr 3 \u2013 Interior Principal Secretary has urged citizens to stay alert and act responsibly as the country heads into the Easter holiday season, a period typically marked by heavy travel and large social gatherings.<\/p>\n
In his message, Raymond Omollo noted that Easter is a time for reflection, renewal, and hope, encouraging Kenyans to embrace these values while also looking out for one another\u2019s safety.<\/p>\n
He emphasised the importance of vigilance during the long weekend, particularly as schools remain closed and many families travel or host gatherings.<\/p>\n
Parents and guardians were advised to take extra care in ensuring children are safe and properly supervised throughout the holiday.<\/p>\n
Omollo also called on the public to work closely with security agencies by reporting any suspicious activities and cooperating with law enforcement officers to help maintain order.<\/p>\n
Road safety was another major concern highlighted in his message.<\/p>\n
With increased movement expected across the country, he urged drivers, pedestrians, and all road users to remain cautious, disciplined, and patient to help prevent accidents.<\/p>\n
The Interior Ministry, he said, has put in place enhanced security measures, including deploying additional personnel to various parts of the country to ensure a safe environment for all.<\/p>\n
Reaffirming the government\u2019s commitment to national stability and development, Omollo encouraged Kenyans to promote unity and peace during the celebrations and beyond.<\/p>\n
