Kenya East region as she positions herself as a reform candidate ahead of the 2027 General Election.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The People\u2019s Liberation Party leader toured Embu and Tharaka Nithi counties, where she called on Kenyans to reject what she described as leaders focused on self-interest and instead elect leaders committed to service delivery.<\/p>\n<p>Using the slogan \u2018Ondoa wakulaji, weka wafanyikazi, Karua urged residents to support leaders who can address the country\u2019s economic and social challenges.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKenya Kwanza has perfected the art of the grand launch, but no service delivery. Billions are announced for projects, as they give excuses for delays. If Ruto\u2019s government cannot deliver the basics, they have no business managing the national budget or the future of our families.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA country is built by the sweat of wenye nchi, and they deserve to enjoy its benefits, not see them stolen by the corrupt. In 2027, ondoa wakulaji, weka wafanyikazi,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>During the tour, Karua intensified her criticism of the Kenya Kwanza administration, accusing the government of failing to deliver essential public services despite repeated promises and large budget allocations.<\/p>\n<p>She particularly singled out the healthcare sector, claiming that many Level 5 hospitals across the country are struggling with shortages of medicine, equipment, and medical personnel even as Kenyans continue to make monthly deductions to the Social Health Authority (SHA).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWenye nchi do not eat launch ceremonies. They deserve roads that are safe, hospitals that heal. Year after year, promises are made and billions announced yet roads remain half-done, hospitals underfunded, and farmers unsupported. If this government cannot finish the basics, how can the people trust them with the Sh7Billion Nithi Bridge?
