{"id":142664,"date":"2026-05-30T17:02:45","date_gmt":"2026-05-30T17:02:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chezaspin.com\/blog\/kenya-targets-south-africas-scalp-in-rugby-africa-womens-cup\/"},"modified":"2026-05-30T17:02:45","modified_gmt":"2026-05-30T17:02:45","slug":"kenya-targets-south-africas-scalp-in-rugby-africa-womens-cup","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chezaspin.com\/blog\/kenya-targets-south-africas-scalp-in-rugby-africa-womens-cup\/","title":{"rendered":"Kenya \u00a0targets South Africa\u2019s scalp in Rugby Africa Women\u2019s Cup"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The Kenya National Women\u2019s Rugby Sevens team are preparing for a do or die duel against South Africa in Sunday\u2019s \u00a0final of the Rugby Africa Women\u2019s Cup Performance Division which will be played at 4pm at the RFUEA grounds.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Lionesses have won all their two matches starting in their opening match against Uganda Lady Cranes whom they beat 43-10 as the South Africans blitzed past Madagascar 64-5.<\/p>\n\n<p>Lionesses went on a rampage against Madagascar in their second match to maul them 57-0 and take charge of the standings as South Africa settled for second after they beat Uganda 47-20.<\/p>\n<p>Both will face off today\u00a0 in an eagerly awaited finale where the Lionesses hope to dethrone South Africa who have dominated the tournament from inception.<\/p>\n\n<p>They met in last year\u2019s final where the visitors prevailed.
