President William Ruto and First Lady Rachel Ruto hosted family, friends, and political leaders in Kilgoris, Narok County, on Saturday for the engagement and traditional farewell ceremony of their daughter, Charlene Ruto.<\/p>\n
The ceremony, held at Intonna Heritage Farm in Naserian Village, brought together senior leaders from across Kenya\u2019s political spectrum to celebrate Charlene and her fianc\u00e9, Tanzanian entrepreneur Isaya Yunge, as they embarked on a new chapter in their lives.<\/p>\n
Among the notable attendees were ODM Party leader Dr Oburu Oginga, Deputy President Kithure Kindiki, Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang\u2019ula, Senate Speaker Amason Kingi, various Cabinet Secretaries, Members of Parliament, CEOs, and other invited guests.<\/p>\n
President Ruto described the occasion as a joyful family milestone, expressing his and Rachel\u2019s gratitude and pride in celebrating their daughter\u2019s engagement.<\/p>\n
\u201cToday, Mama Rachel Ruto and I celebrate with grateful hearts as our daughter Charlene begins a beautiful new chapter with her fianc\u00e9, Isaya,\u201d President Ruto said.<\/p>\n
He congratulated the couple and offered prayers for their future.<\/p>\n
\u201cCongratulations to you both on your engagement. May God bless your union, deepen your friendship, and fill the home you build together with love, joy, and enduring peace,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
The President also assured his daughter of their continued support as she embarked on this new phase.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs your parents, we are proud of you, we rejoice with you, and we will always stand beside you,\u201d Ruto affirmed.<\/p>\n
The ceremony also provided a family-centred setting for leaders from diverse political backgrounds to celebrate the President\u2019s daughter.<\/p>\n
ODM leader Oburu Oginga echoed the sentiment, describing the occasion as a joyous moment for the family. He extended his heartfelt congratulations to Charlene and<\/p>\n
Isaya, stating, \u201cMay God bless their union, deepen their friendship, and fill the home they build together with love, joy, and enduring peace.\u201d<\/p>\n
Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi remarked that the ceremony reflected the significance of a child\u2019s transition into a new stage of life and the happiness it brings to parents.<\/p>\n
\u201cA parent\u2019s greatest joy is watching their child grow into a person of character, faith, and purpose, and celebrating the milestones that open a new chapter in their life,\u201d Mudavadi commented.<\/p>\n

National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang\u2019ula also joined the celebrations, describing the occasion as an important milestone for the Ruto family.<\/p>\n
