{"id":21536,"date":"2024-04-02T14:05:01","date_gmt":"2024-04-02T14:05:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chezaspin.com\/blog\/index.php\/2024\/04\/02\/family-demands-probe-as-missing-13-year-old-girl-found-raped-murdered\/"},"modified":"2024-04-02T14:05:01","modified_gmt":"2024-04-02T14:05:01","slug":"family-demands-probe-as-missing-13-year-old-girl-found-raped-murdered","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chezaspin.com\/blog\/family-demands-probe-as-missing-13-year-old-girl-found-raped-murdered\/","title":{"rendered":"Family demands probe as missing 13-year-old girl found raped, murdered"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>NYERI, Kenya, Apr 2 \u2014 A family in Kieni\u2019s Satima village, Nyeri County, is demanding an exhaustive probe to unravel the mystery behind the murder of their kin \u2014 a 13-year-old girl.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Stella Wambui is believed to have been waylaid by an unknown assailant as she headed back home from a party at her grandparents\u2019 home on Monday evening.<\/p>\n<p>Wambui\u2019s attacker then raped her before dumping the minor\u2019s body \u2014 bearing visible injuries on the ear \u2014 a few kilometers away from her home.<\/p>\n<p>The attacker ripped Wambui\u2019s clothes pointing to a possible struggle.<\/p>\n<p>Confirming the incident Kieni West police boss Samuel Ndegwa said the victim, who had arrived at her grandparents\u2019 home in the company of her mother, left on a different route at about 6pm.<\/p>\n<p>The family discovered the minor\u2019s body at 8.30am on Tuesday following a search.<\/p>\n<p>Ndegwa said the body had signs of strangulation. <\/p>\n<p>Samuel Gathaine, the girl\u2019s grandfather, told the police he released all party attendees after a parental blessing.<\/p>\n<p>The victim\u2019s cousin, Regina Wanjugu, called on the police to intensify the search for Wambui\u2019s killers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs a family we believe the killer of my cousin lurks in the vicinity we demand justice for Wambui who was a jolly person,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Police move the victim\u2019s body to a morgue in Mweiga pending a postmortem investigation to aid the probe.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NYERI, Kenya, Apr 2 \u2014 A family in Kieni\u2019s Satima village, Nyeri County, is demanding an exhaustive probe to unravel the mystery behind the murder of their kin \u2014 a 13-year-old girl.
