{"id":30335,"date":"2024-04-22T12:03:46","date_gmt":"2024-04-22T12:03:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chezaspin.com\/blog\/index.php\/2024\/04\/22\/air-force-officer-dies-in-bondo-road-accident\/"},"modified":"2024-04-22T12:03:46","modified_gmt":"2024-04-22T12:03:46","slug":"air-force-officer-dies-in-bondo-road-accident","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chezaspin.com\/blog\/air-force-officer-dies-in-bondo-road-accident\/","title":{"rendered":"Air Force officer dies in Bondo road accident"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>KISUMU, Kenya, Apr 22 \u2013 Police in Siaya County have confirmed the death of a Kenya Air Force officer through a road accident in Bondo Sunday night.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The County Police Commander Cleti Kimaiyo says the officer, who was riding a motorcycle, was involved in a collision with another cyclist.<\/p>\n<p>The deceased, whom sources say was on work leave, was carrying his brother, who survived but with serious injuries.<\/p>\n<p>The head-on collision also claimed the life of the other rider, which left their pillions with life threatening injuries.<\/p>\n<p>Kimaiyo says the accident happened in the Nyamonye area along Bondo-Usenge road.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe deceased was riding towards Bondo town when the accident happened,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Officers responded in time and moved the bodies to Bondo sub county hospital mortuary for preservation.<\/p>\n<p>The injured were transferred to Siaya County Referral hospital where they are undergoing treatment.<\/p>\n<p>Kimaiyo says the two cycles, which were extensively damaged, were taken to Nyamonye police station pending further inquiries into the accident.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KISUMU, Kenya, Apr 22 \u2013 Police in Siaya County have confirmed the death of a Kenya Air Force officer through a road accident in Bondo Sunday night.
