{"id":3812,"date":"2024-02-22T05:03:54","date_gmt":"2024-02-22T05:03:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chezaspin.com\/blog\/index.php\/2024\/02\/22\/kizazi-moto-wins-animation-award\/"},"modified":"2024-02-22T05:03:54","modified_gmt":"2024-02-22T05:03:54","slug":"kizazi-moto-wins-animation-award","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chezaspin.com\/blog\/kizazi-moto-wins-animation-award\/","title":{"rendered":"\u2018Kizazi Moto\u2019 wins animation award"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span>Ground-breaking Disney+ Original Series <\/span><span>Kizazi Moto: Generation Fire<\/span><span> won the prestigious Annie Award for \u201cBest Limited Series\u201d (TV\/Media).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The winning series episode \u201cEnkai\u201d was directed by Kenyan Ng\u2019endo Mukii and produced by Blink Industries.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>It was also selected as a finalist for Prix Jeunesse International in the \u20187-10 Years Fiction\u2019 category.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>This win comes after the series also bagged the Kidscreen Award for \u201cBest Animated Series (Tweens\/Teens)\u201d in San Diego, earlier this month.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>These accolades recognise the creativity and storytelling expertise of the multi-talented team at Triggerfish, the lead production studio behind the anthology series<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The action-packed animated sci-fi series <\/span><span>Kizazi Moto: Generation Fire<\/span><span> presents futuristic visions from Africa inspired by the continent\u2019s diverse histories and cultures, and has been enchanting audiences worldwide with its compelling narrative, vibrant imagery, and original characters since its release in July last year.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Guided by Disney, executive producers Peter Ramsey, Tendayi Nyeke and Anthony Silverston and helmed by a group of 14 directors from across the African continent including Egypt, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, Uganda, and\u00a0 Zimbabwe, the series was brought to life with authenticity and passion.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The star-studded voice cast, included Florence Kasumba (<\/span><span>Black Panther, Wonder Women<\/span><span>), Pearl Thusi (<\/span><span>Queen Sono<\/span><span>), Nasty C (multi-award winning South African rapper) and Kehinde Bankole (<\/span><span>The New Normal, Sista<\/span><span>) delivering captivating performances, breathing life into the characters and enhancing the storytelling experience.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Triggerfish also won an Annie Award for \u201cBest Music \u2013 TV\/Media\u201d at the ceremony for its short film <\/span><span>Aau\u2019s Song<\/span><span>.
