Football Kenya Federation Premier League side Police FC have received financial boost following a Ksh.1.5 donation from National Bank of Kenya.<\/strong><\/p>\n The sponsorship according to a communique \u2018will go towards enhancement of sporting activities within the club\u2019.<\/p>\n The sponsorship is set to cater for the club\u2019s travel and accommodation as well buying of new jerseys, training equipment \u2013 Bips, cones, training kits and other team\u2019s requirements ahead of the 2024\/2025 season.<\/p>\n Speaking during the check handover ceremony at the Police Sacco Stadium, NBK Managing Director George Odhiambo expressed the significance of the gesture remarking::<\/p>\n \u201cOur partnership with Police FC is aimed at nurturing talent and enabling the team\u2019s seamless participation in the local topflight league in line with our sports agenda, riding on the conviction that we have a role to support the communities where we operate from to achieve their dreams. This sponsorship will support the club\u2019s current annual budget.\u201d<\/p>\n The team, under the tutelage of Salim Babu,\u00a0 is currently third on the FKF PL standings with 54 points after 31 matches.<\/p>\n Police Fc lost their second successive league match Saturday losing 0-1 to Tusker Fc to fall further behind the title race.<\/p>\n They are 10 points behind leaders Gor Mahia with four matches to go.<\/p>\n However the team could still salvage their season when they play AFC leopards in their Mozzart Bet Cup semi-final on May 26th at Dandora Stadium.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are excited to partner with NBK in this noble course that will be crucial in facilitating our team.
