Three suspects have been arraigned for the offences of Forgery, making a document without authority and uttering a false document at the Milimani<\/span> Law Courts, <\/span>after comprehensive investigations implicating three employees of Sports, Arts and Social Development Funds (SASDF).<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201c<\/span>John <\/span>Onyango<\/span> <\/span>Odhiambo<\/span>, 44, <\/span>Adan<\/span> <\/span>Bagajo<\/span> <\/span>Lamma<\/span>, 44, and George <\/span>Ereng<\/span> <\/span>Lotieng<\/span>, 35,<\/span> who were employed as <\/span>drivers <\/span>were arrested for allegedly submitting counterfeit academic certificates to secure employment and potent<\/span>ially increase their pay grades<\/span>,\u201d said the Directorate of Criminal Investigations<\/span> on X<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

As per the statement, <\/span>John <\/span>Onyango<\/span> <\/span>Odhiambo<\/span> submitted a falsified 2011 KCSE certificate from <\/span>Starays<\/span> Hope Community Center, Nairobi, <\/span>manipulating<\/span> grades to achieve a D+ mean grade. <\/span>Adan<\/span> <\/span>Bagajo<\/span> <\/span>Lamma<\/span> presented a counterfeit 1998 KCSE certificate from <\/span>Marsabit<\/span> Boys High School, despite never having registered or sat for the exam at that institution, which did not exist during the specified year.<\/span><\/p>\n

Similarly, George <\/span>Ereng<\/span> <\/span>Lotieng<\/span> submitted a forged KCSE certificate from St. Marks Boys High School, <\/span>Cherangany<\/span>, where he had also dropped out in form two. However, the alleged examination center did not exist as of 2010, with the certificate\u2019s code belonging to a different school, <\/span>Ruthimitu<\/span> Secondary.<\/span><\/p>\n

The suspects were charged on Friday at the <\/span>Milimani<\/span> Law Courts.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201c<\/span>As per the Public Service Commission, more than 2,000 government employees are culpable of using forged academic and professional qualifications to secure jobs or earn promotions. The DCI is working closely with other government age<\/span>ncies to investigate the cases,\u201d the <\/span>Directorate of Criminal Investigations<\/span> added.<\/span><\/p>\n
