President Joe Biden Thursday welcomed Kenyan President William Ruto to the White House for a State Visit.<\/p>\n
Speaking after being accorded a full state reception, President Ruto reiterated the need to have more discussions to enhance investment opportunities which will enable the African continent to grow economically.<\/p>\n
The Kenyan leader who is accompanied by the First Lady Mama Rachel was welcomed into the Oval Office for a private meeting.<\/p>\n
He thanked the US government for the support it has offered to ensure that Africa is secured.<\/p>\n
Biden praised Ruto for \u201chis bold leadership and noted that the two were celebrating a 60-year partnership that was not only \u201cdelivering for our nations\u201d but \u201cdelivering for the world.\u201d<\/p>\n\n
This is the first state visit to the United States by an African leader in more than 15 years<\/p>\n
