Rising stars Abdulkadir Tarmal\u00a0 and Azgar Kassam of Team Tarmal were among the standout competitors feted at the Mombasa Motor Club (MMC) awards.<\/strong><\/p>\n The occasion also feted various competitors,\u00a0 officials and stakeholders who have contuttibuted immensely towards the success of the club.<\/p>\n Tarmal and his navigator Kassam were feted\u00a0 as\u00a0 the Club\u2019s 4WD rally champions following brilliant displays behind the wheels.<\/p>\n Kassam has since swapped positions from co-driver to the drivers\u2019 seat and was all smiles in describing his motoring journey: \u201cits a dream\u00a0 come true!! I have been navigating the newbiesof our club.and won the MMC championship in 2022 amd 2023. So,\u00a0 recently\u00a0 Mombasa Cement\u00a0 gave me opportunity to dive the 2WD Corolla with Victor Okundi. It was an amazing experience with my long term friend Okundi.<\/p>\n The Corolla was from Equatorial Classic team .\u201d<\/p>\n MMC, which runs a low-budget Clubman series, acknowledged the most upcoming team, Team Nanak of Abhijeet Puee.<\/p>\n Abhijeet is the youngest of Mombasa based Puee racing family which comprises\u00a0 senior Manmeet \u201cVicky\u201d Simgh, Inderjeet Puee and Sohanjeet Puee.<\/p>\n Team Roadtainers\u2019 Yusuf Pasta received his trophy as the Coast buggy class champion.<\/p>\n The legendary Mutuple former Motocross champion Anthony Nielsen took home the coveted Johnny Hellier Memorial trophy.<\/p>\n Nielsen competes in the MMC Clubman series as a rally driver and is one of the leading competitors currently in the Coast.<\/p>\n Over and above his Johnny Hellier recognition,\u00a0 Nielsen was named in the Best performing motorsports team (Equatorial Classic) as well as the Club\u2019s motorsports personality of the year alongside teammate Philip Kyriazi .<\/p>\n The Most outstanding members of the club were Muskan Shiekh\u00a0 and Marguerite McKenzie.<\/p>\n Team Ganatra\u00a0 of\u00a0 Amaan Ganatra and<\/p>\n Dr Assad Mugal were feted as the Coast Two Wheel Drive Champions.
