Marsabit county government has pledged to provide 5 acres of land for the construction of a monument to honor 14 people among them 6 legislators who died in a plane crash in the region 18 years ago while on a peace building mission.<\/p>\n
This was revealed during a visit to the county by the National Heroes Council and members of the National Assembly Committee on Sports and Culture.<\/p>\n
The visit was aimed at engaging the county government to identify a suitable location for the establishment of a monument in honor of the 14 people who died while on a mission to bring peace among two warring communities.<\/p>\n
