{"id":55586,"date":"2024-06-20T09:03:15","date_gmt":"2024-06-20T09:03:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chezaspin.com\/blog\/index.php\/2024\/06\/20\/malala-asks-speaker-wetangula-to-join-uda\/"},"modified":"2024-06-20T09:03:15","modified_gmt":"2024-06-20T09:03:15","slug":"malala-asks-speaker-wetangula-to-join-uda","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chezaspin.com\/blog\/malala-asks-speaker-wetangula-to-join-uda\/","title":{"rendered":"Malala asks Speaker Wetangula to join UDA"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"td-paragraph-padding-1\">\n<p><strong>UDA Party Secretary-General Cleophas Malala has urged Ford-Kenya Leader Moses Wetangula to dissolve party and join the ruling coalition.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Speaking in Kakamega County, Malala urged Speaker Wetangula, who is Ford-Kenya\u2019s leader to disband the party and the Democratic Action Party of Kenya (DAP-K) to support President William Ruto\u2019s agenda and ensure the Luhya community\u2019s significant stake in the government.<\/p>\n<p>Malala\u2019s sentiments come after Prime Cabinet Secretary and also Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi disclosed that his party will fold and join UDA.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking during the meeting, ANC party leader Issa Timamy said the merger has been long overdue, adding that the two parties not only share visions but also aspirations that will move the country forward.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have no doubt in my mind that this idea is one whose time has come. In politics and governance, the overriding objective of participating in politics as politicians and political parties is to win and form government.
