So I go to pray and after praying I go back to the studio recording,\u201d Diamond recalled.<\/p>\n<p>Reflecting on the song&#8217;s creation, Diamond emphasized his vision of unity and inclusivity<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo when we were recording the song, we were thinking about the song that doesn\u2019t matter where you come from, who you are but\u00a0 a song that can unite people together, that\u2019s why I put different languages, there is French, Swahili, Latin, Zulu, that\u2019s why the challenge also is about greeting someone,\u201d Diamond shared.<\/p>\n<p>However, the accompanying dance challenge, Diamond noted, emerged as a way to foster joy and friendship in the aftermath of the pandemic, symbolizing a return to community and celebration.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the song&#8217;s 4 minutes and 36 seconds duration, Diamond revealed it took nearly twenty minutes to finalize his verses. &#8220;Every word, every rhythm had to resonate perfectly,&#8221; he expressed.<\/p>\n<p>According to Diamond the choice of the title Komasava, was deliberate, reflecting its catchy rhythm and appeal to the Francophone community.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKomasava goes with the rhyme, apart from that, I know French Francophone is very big and I know francophone people love me so much because it\u2019s something they don\u2019t have to tell me, because I know,\u201d he shared.<\/p>\n<p>While he continues to learn French, Diamond joked about his basic proficiency, mastering essentials like greetings and expressions of love.<\/p>\n<p>Since its release on May 3, 2024, Komasava has garnered impressive milestones, with 3.1 million views on YouTube, 5.4 million streams on Boomplay, and 1.6 million on Spotify.<\/p>\n<p>This unprecedented global attention suggest that Komasava could serve as a significant milestone in the journey of Bongo Flava music.<\/p>\n<p>Although other Tanzanian songs have succeeded in the music scene, they were largely prominent only in Africa.<\/p>\n<p>Such songs include Single Again by Harmonize, Tetema by Rayvanny featuring Diamond, Aje by Alikiba, Kwangwaru by Harmonize also featuring Diamond, Number one remix, Nana, inama, mdogo mdogo, several others.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bongo Flava hitmaker, Diamond Platnumz, has revealed the heartfelt story behind his chart-topping sensation Komasava, in an exclusive interview at Portugal&#8217;s Afronation Festival.
