Opposing the submissions in the petition filed by Peter Orogo, KRA said applicants in the June 2023, recruitment were so many that it opted for aptitude test and those with highest scores were recruited.  It said the process was not interfered with and that most of the applicants were from the two communities, being Kalenjins and Kikuyus.   It was further submitted that they gave prominence to merit based on aptitude then others like regional balance and ethnic diversity followed.   KRA also denied claims that there was no policy to guide the inclusivity in recruitment.   In regard to the graduate trainee cap at age 28, the authority said it waas only because it targeted fresh graduates and there is no discrimination.
