{"id":87181,"date":"2024-09-04T13:03:56","date_gmt":"2024-09-04T13:03:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chezaspin.com\/blog\/index.php\/2024\/09\/04\/nairobi-cbd-set-for-major-overhaul-under-sakajas-new-initiative\/"},"modified":"2024-09-04T13:03:56","modified_gmt":"2024-09-04T13:03:56","slug":"nairobi-cbd-set-for-major-overhaul-under-sakajas-new-initiative","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chezaspin.com\/blog\/nairobi-cbd-set-for-major-overhaul-under-sakajas-new-initiative\/","title":{"rendered":"Nairobi CBD set for major overhaul under Sakaja\u2019s New Initiative"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>NAIROBI, Kenya, Sep 4 \u2013 Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja has announced an ambitious Central Business District (CBD) revitalization program aimed at giving the city center a much-needed facelift. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The announcement came during a pivotal entry audit meeting with the county executive and representatives from the Office of the Auditor General.<\/p>\n<p>Governor Sakaja highlighted that the county had achieved a record revenue collection of Sh12.8 billion, which will be instrumental in funding the CBD restoration project. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe will embark on restoring the CBD, starting with the installation of strategically placed dustbins to ensure cleanliness,\u201d the Governor stated. <\/p>\n<p>He assured that the project would be implemented within the 2024\/2025 financial year.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the installation of dustbins, Governor Sakaja emphasized that all roads within the CBD requiring tarmacking have been included in the restoration plans. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe will ensure that our roads within the CBD are made, providing a better Nairobi for all road users to enjoy.
