{"id":99054,"date":"2024-10-12T14:02:57","date_gmt":"2024-10-12T14:02:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chezaspin.com\/blog\/index.php\/2024\/10\/12\/ps-kimtai-urges-public-to-update-details-of-dependents-on-sha-portal\/"},"modified":"2024-10-12T14:02:57","modified_gmt":"2024-10-12T14:02:57","slug":"ps-kimtai-urges-public-to-update-details-of-dependents-on-sha-portal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chezaspin.com\/blog\/ps-kimtai-urges-public-to-update-details-of-dependents-on-sha-portal\/","title":{"rendered":"PS Kimtai urges public to update details of dependents on SHA portal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Medical Services Principal Secretary Harry Kimtai is urging members of the public to\u00a0update details of their dependants on the Social Health Authority (SHA) portal.<\/p>\n<p>He said this will ensure seamless service delivery at health facilities.<\/p>\n<p>The PS who led ministry officials and those from SHA in a meeting with\u00a0the\u00a0County Executive Committee Members\u00a0Health Caucus assured the public that challenges experienced at the initial phase of the SHA rollout are being tackled.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe enrolment has been successful. We have agreed in this meeting that we will work with Counties to increase registration,\u201d he\u00a0explained at the meeting\u00a0held in Nairobi\u00a0on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Kimtai observed that they had realised that as people were registering, they were not adding their dependants.<\/p>\n<p>He observed that they would collaborate with the Counties to ensure that enrolled members enlist their dependants for seamless service delivery.<\/p>\n<p>Members will be required to\u00a0specify the type of relationship with each dependant\u00a0and for those\u00a0under the age of 18, the applicant must also provide a birth certificate.<\/p>\n<p>PS Kimtai\u00a0said the meeting with the CEC Health Caucus was critical to ensure the success of the SHA rollout.<\/p>\n<p>He assured the public that once the system is fully functional,\u00a0the SHA will offer more benefits that were previously not enjoyed under NHIF.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have three funds as opposed to the NHIF that had one fund.
