American rapper and entrepreneur Jay-Z has extended his partnership with the National Football League (NFL) to continue producing the Super Bowl Halftime Show.<\/p>\n
The partnership between Roc Nation, the entertainment company founded by Jay-Z, and the NFL was first signed in 2019. The company\u2019s role is to \u201cspearhead and advise on the selection of artists for the NFL\u2019s tentpole performances\u201d a statement from the company said at the time.<\/p>\n
Roc Nation also helps the league with its Inspire Change program, the league\u2019s social justice initiative.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s been a mutually positive relationship,\u201d Goodell said of the company and its chief executive officer, Desiree Perez.<\/p>\n
Goodell said Tuesday<\/a> at the NFL owners\u2019 meeting in Atlanta that \u201cJay is happy. Desiree Perez is happy. I\u2019m happy, so we\u2019re all good.\u201d<\/p>\n Since then, the league and Roc Nation have collaborated to have artists such as Rihanna, The Weeknd and Shakira perform at the NFL\u2019s title game.<\/p>\n\n According to a Nielsen ratings report, Rihanna\u2019s 2023<\/a> performance was the \u201cmost-watched Super Bowl Halftime Show of all time\u201d.
