Detectives probe kidnapping of Siaya County Enforcement Officer

NAIROBI, Kenya, Mar 1 – Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the kidnapping of a Siaya County enforcement officer, who was discovered in a sack tied with a nylon rope in Vihiga’s Hamisi area.

The victim, Nicholas Oluoch, who went missing on February 26, was found Thursday morning conscious but with injuries.

Upon discovery, his face was tied with a piece of dark clothing, and he was complaining of chest and back pain.

“It was reported through a phone call that there was an injured male adult at the roadside near Boyani Mudindi area,” read a police report obtained by Capital News.

“Police officers from Gambogi police station rushed to the scene where the victim was identified as Nicholas Oluoch, an enforcement officer with Siaya County government.”

According to the victim, he was abducted on Monday night by an unknown person before being dropped at that location.

The scene was documented by crime scene personnel before the victim was rushed to Mbale County Referral Hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment.
