KeNHA: Efforts underway to clear protest-triggered gridlock on Nakuru-Nairobi Highway

NAIROBI, Kenya Feb 28 — The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) is working to unlock a traffic snarl-up on the Nakuru-Nairobi Highway following a protest on Wednesday.

KeNHA said the protest had triggered congestion around the Soko Mjinga area.

The agency said police had managed to contain the situation and were working to restore normalcy.

“Police have already dispersed the protesters and are currently restoring traffic flow,” KeNHA stated.

KeNHA advised motorists to proceed with caution and adhere to traffic rules.

The authority expressed regret for the inconveniences resulting from the traffic snarl-up.
