NAIROBI, Kenya, Feb 22 — The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has announced the temporary closure of a section of Nairobi’s Lang’ata Road on Saturday for planned maintenance works.
The closure will affect the city-bound section of the service lane between the T-mall roundabout and Makadara roundabout, the agency indicated in a notice published on Thursday.
The maintenance works will run on Saturday and Sunday from 6 am to 8pm.
“The Kenya National Highways Authority KeNHA wishes to notify the public that a section of Langata Road along the service lane (Nyayo Stadium bound lane) between T-Mall Roundabout and Madaraka Roundabout will be closed,” the Authority stated.
KeNHA advised motorists to follow the proposed traffic management plan and traffic marshals on site.
The agency advised motorists heading towards Madaraka roundabout from Raila Odinga Way (Mbagathi Way), Mai Mahiu Road, and Lang’ata Road to take Ole Sangale link or turn at T-mall Roundabout and proceed to the U-turn just after Wilson Airport exit and take the flyover towards Madaraka.
