The SG said if the government fails to respond, it will be the second time the medics will strike, stressing, the protest will be unique.

He asserted that 15 counties had gone on strike to demand for the government to address their plight, noting, Do tors are tired of empty promises given by the government.

“I am saddened to announce that if the government fails to act, it will be a different ball game”Atera said.

Nyanza Branch KMPDU chairman, Onyango Ndong’a urged Governors; Ochilo Ayako ( Migori) and James Orengo ( Siaya) to honor the Return to Work formula the branch signed with the county governments.

Consequently the official has given the counties two weeks to heed and comply to the formula or face a strike.
