NAIROBI, Kenya Jun 20 -Police are detaining one suspect and confiscated close to 170 litres of the illegal illicit brew.
The National Police Service has been conducting targeted and intelligence-led operations against the production, distribution and consumption of illicit brews continue in Siaya County.
The recovered exhibits were secured as evidence, and the suspect is in custody awaiting arraignment in court.
Police from Yala Police Station in Marenyo Village, confirmed that they impounded 50 litres of Chang’aa, 120 litres of Kangara, and various apparatus used in the manufacture of illicit alcohol.
