Reigning Sirikwa Classic Cross Country champion Emmaculate Anyango Achol has been suspended provisionally by the Athletics Integrity unit (AIU),for Use of a Prohibited Substance (Testosterone and EPO).
The 24 year old won the 10km senior women race during the 2024 Sirikwa Classic Cross Country in Eldoret early February, before managing a 6th finish during the Olympic trials for 10,000m in May.
Anyango’s suspension is the latest high profile Kenyan runner to be suspendedd by the AIU.
