A social media user has been charged in court for publishing false information online in violation of the Computer Misuse and Cybercrime Act No.5 of 2018.
Benson Malova Ashiko, alias Ash Papi, is accused of knowingly and unlawfully publishing false information on his X account (@Mr_Papi5) on January 18, 2025.
He appeared before a Milimani Court where he pleaded not guilty to the charges and was granted a cash bail of Sh20,000.
The case is scheduled for a mention on February 19, 2025.
