Data from global market consultancy IDC showed that, in the year of 2023, shipments in Chinese foldable screen mobile phone market were about 7.01 million units, an increase of 114.5 percent on a yearly basis. As android manufacturers and upstream supply chains continue to increase investment in research and development coupled with further price cuts, more consumers are willing to buy folding screen mobile phones.
In terms of brand shares, Huawei occupies the first position in China’s foldable screen cellphone market in 2023, with a market share of 37.4 percent.
